Impersonations

Sometimes I'm funny. Sometimes I'm not. Anywho...you might catch me in a good mood one day and I might be willing to impersonate someone for you. Here's a list of people I'm not embarrassed to do:

Kermit the Frog

Kronk, and for that matter...

The Tick

Joe

Mr. Burns

I did Seinfeld once and it was amazing (seriously, I just went for it and the two people in the room were like, "Whoa!"), I'm scared to try it again.
Well, that's all I can think of. It's possible I can do more, so maybe I'll edit this or maybe I'll post Impersonations Part Deux! Who knows.

4 days in a row!

And I have nothing to write about. It could be that I e-submitted my PharmCAS application. It could be that I just took a test. It could be that I haven't eaten all day.

Whatever the case may be, I leave you with this:

This guy makes me laugh.

Weezer

For a band that has been around for 14 years (that's when the first album came out anyway), you wouldn't think that they would continue to be relevant. Not only has that theory been thrown out the window (best videos, ever), but Rivers is the middle name of my nephew AND Rivers Cuomo grew a moustache...well, for the album art anyway.

I could probably think of about a million other bands to put up here, but tonight I choose Weezer. Tonight, I share with you one of a few songs Sarah and I have deemed "ours" (although copyright laws claim they are Rivers').

My Best Friend by Weezer:

When everything is wrong
I come talk to you
You make things alright
when I'm feelin' blue
You are such a blessing
And I won't be messing
With the one thing that
brings light to all my darkness

You're my best friend
And I love you
And I love you
Yes I do

There is no other one
who can take your place
I feel happy inside
when I see your face
I hope you believe me
'Cause I speak sincerely
And I mean it when I tell you
that I need you

I'm right here beside you
I will never leave you
And I feel the pain you feel
When you start crying

Seems like I've been doing more of the crying recently (stupid stress), but I don't know where I'd be without Sarah, so it seems fitting that Stuff that makes me happy give recognition to the reason I write, the reason I strive, and the reason I own WAY too many chick flicks: my loving wife Sarah. (Hi honey!)

This picture make anyone else think of Back to the Future? (Hint: Look at Pat's legs...you can see through them)

How I get by

Sometimes, the world is black, and tears run from your eyes. And maybe we'll all get really sick, and maybe, we'll all die.

So, I play Resistance, I can shoot some bad guys up. I can use a handgun or I can use a rifle! I can play online or I can play it single player! Resistance!

Doesn't that look like something that needs to be shot? I think so. I used to not like 1st person shooters. I dunno why, they just got boring to me after a few levels. Then I played The Orange Box. Maybe it was Portal, maybe it was Half-Life (Probably both), but I love them. I play them often and as long as I don't hear tons of swearing, I'm good. There's nothing more cathartic for a bad day than watching someone fly back in recoil from the few rounds you kindly placed into his cranium. If only I could get the hang of online play...

P.S. Why is Sarah the only one following me? Do I need to post about farts? Cause I will if that will put me on the map!

Intro and first blog

Seeing as how I like to do things Sarah does, I figured I'd use this blog as an avenue to express some kind of feelings...or at least to make someone laugh. Having said that...

Today I found out my PCAT score and it didn't result in a happy attitude. So I decided to listen to a CD with headphones on. I haven't done that in a long time. It was nice. I wasn't trying to avoid Sarah or anything, just felt like being alone. She was awesome and suggested it, then let me. She also brought me chips and dip. Didn't know what I would listen to but I picked Underoath. The first song that I listened to was kinda interesting given my predicament. So...for my own reasons I liked it, you take it for what it is. Feel free to comment your own thoughts.

In Regards To Myself by Underoath:
Wake up Wake up My (censored),
this is not a test and it's not too late to come clean
Get it off your chest
So steady your hand before your face and concentrate
There's got to be some stable ground left to walk on

So tear another page from the book
Are you asleep or just alone
Clear this room from your lungs
and pull yourself together man

On your back, you're sleeping in a bed of shame
Let the light breathe some new life into this room
It's what keeps you coming back
Made up of insatiable taste
Bury your head in your hands and sink into yourself

Just what are you so afraid of
You're staring truth in the face, so come on down

You're busy living now aren't you
You're busy making vows
You're coming unglued
Time is shorter than you know
I know the light is blinding to the naked eye, so why don't you take
steps away from being alone I swear it's not too late for you

It's all worth reaching for the hand to pull you out
Wake up and step outside your box
Wake up
